Morning, friends! ☀️ It’s coooolllllld here in Atlanta, where we woke up earlier to temperatures in the low 30s; hopefully that’ll change by later today and we’ll have sunny, clear skies.
For our first Friday thread discussion of 2024, I thought I’d throw out a question I love to ask because it shows where we’re all scattered around the planet — over the years, I’ve heard from readers in just about every state, plus Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jerusalem, Tajikistan, India, Italy, France, Poland, Lithuania… the list goes on and on and on.
Some of you have already used these threads to meet up for races in person — which is awesome! — and I love it because it gives us the chance to get to know each other better, and perhaps meet up to run together in person, whether it’s for a race or to set up a weekend running group.
And since we’ve had lots of new people sign up since the new year began, I thought I’d ask: where are you from/where do you live out there in the world? Where do you love to run? 😀 — Terrell
Hello from the NW corner of Iowa! Just a small town in the middle of the fields. A loop around the very edge town will get me 3 miles so a lot of my longer runs are on rural county roads.
Hello from the UK! I’m in Peterborough which is 45 mins north of London. I moved up here from London last year. I’m training for the Boston Marathon - Boston UK that is (the original Boston as the locals like to say). Fewer hills.
From Orland Park, IL (30ish miles south west of Chicago). I love running through the neighborhoods and we have a great running/walking/biking trail system that connects the neighborhoods and forest preserves throughout Chicagoland!
Sounds like a big diverse group. Thanks for putting us all together. Hoping 2024 gives me the chance to run more miles and slim up some. My weather in Western Ky is crazy and my sinuses at the moment don’t know what to do. Spend the weekend on couch - so much sinus pressure. Hoping cold spell will help. So cool reading what everyone had to say! Have a great week
There's a good running community, mainly retired pro cyclists though so I have not connected well with them. The trail running group seems to be Catalan speaking only, so I am not able to get in to run with them (and their total lack of publicly sharing run times/locations). I am running alone, and some of this is just as much due to my lack of persistence in finding the right group as anything.
That said - I have flat trail outside my door heading south and I have trails heading up the mountains to the north. There is always some kind of historical building or monument to be found which keeps things interesting!
I’m just outside of Vancouver in Canada. From my house I can run to a relatively flat river path, a winding lake trail that’s 10k around, or up a mountain. I have been running for years *very* casually but started running with a couple of neighbours in 2019 and we really ramped up our training during lockdown! We did a few 10ks on our own in 2020-2021, then scaled back when we all went back to work. I ran my first 10k since then last September (Under Armour Eastside 10k in Vancouver) - without my run buddies - and plan to do it again this year, hopefully with them!
I’m partly in Annapolis, partly Baltimore. Next up: Annapolis Half Marathon, March 9. Husband is running Boston in April. I’m thinking of signing up for a couple Half’s in other cities this year for the fun of travel and discovery.
Hi Terrell, All your readers should be heaping praise on you for your encouragement and literary talent. I'm sure the newsletter is keeping a lot of runners on the road. You are more than welcome to come visit - I bought a 4-bedroom house for a reason! You could tack on a few days trip here (2 hr. fast train London to Liverpool|) when you do London Marathon! It's the best in the world for organization and runner support. I ran it twice and got in thru a Boston company that buys a block of tickets. London is a lottery so best way for a confirmed entry is with them. And it actually was hot and humid on one occasion - you'd feel right at home. Lashing down rain the other time but great for keeping cool.
Hailing from Gainesville, FL! Sounds like there’s some other Florida folks around! I like this group particularly because it feels like a culture around running for enjoyment, challenge, health, but on a reasonable scale. It’s not over the top, go go go, more of the efficiency culture that most of us live and breathe these days.
I'm in Central Florida, Lakeland-ish. I'd love to meet up with other "Floridians" (is there really a such thing? 😉) I'm also looking for a Georgia race, maybe in May. Any suggestions?
Good things come to those who wait. I still call her my bride. She says at 74 she's too old to be a bride. I just tell her she will be my bride until my last breath.
There are lots of winter runners - I just find it hard to get out in the daylight :) - it has actually been quite mild (compared to other years) and we haven't really had any substantial snow yet this year, but it is been pretty dark and grey. January and February are the coldest months - March starts to feel a bit more like Spring.
Greetings everyone from the town of Leesburg in the middle of sunny Florida. Down here you can run 365 days a year if you don't mind the rain, heat and humidity. I have safe routes mapped out that range from three to ten miles that include water fountains and best of all bathrooms. Just coming off a 10 month long illness, and my plan is to slowly work back up to half and then full marathon distances by the end of next year and run a marathon in Cuba. My wife and I visited Cuba on a cruise ship before they closed it down again. My travel agent said it was the safest place on earth because no one wanted the tourists to stop coming. If not Cuba, Disney for sure and then Miami. Disney would be a great half or full to all meet at and run together.
My doctor's suggestion, who is also a runner, is to go slow even if you think you can do more. No use hurting yourself out of the gate. Go slow and you'll last longer. I just want to get back out there and run like I used to but will follow his advise and go slow... at least for now...
After my pause from running during last year’s winter, I unfortunately did NOT follow that advice, which led directly to the injury that kept me out almost until THIS winter. I’ve learned my lesson. When I’m ready, I’ll walk for a few weeks, then do a C25K program, and take it from there.
Greetings from Howard County, Maryland. I’ve enjoying following your writing especially in the last year or so. I’ve found it very helpful and insightful as I’ve gotten more and more into running. In 2023 my wife and I ran Falmouth for the first time which was an amazing experience. We started a Foundation in honor of our son Paul, and we were fortunate enough to acquire bibs for the race, we had a team of 25 runners! I used that training to springboard into running the Baltimore Marathon in October, an amazing race which I never thought I’d be able to finish prior to my training for Falmouth. Your words have helped in my running journey, and I always enjoy seeing your posts come through.
Right back at you, Nick! You are so kind to say that -- thank you!! I'm really glad they helped, and I'm INSANELY jealous you got to run Falmouth! What a wonderful, wonderful honor to your son -- and an amazing turnout, the 25 runners! I'd love to hear more about both Falmouth and Baltimore -- what great races!
Both races were amazing in their own rights. Baltimore was my first marathon so it was so rewarding to finish after all the training and hard work put in. Falmouth was special because we had so many wonderful people running with us and supporting our cause. It’s an iconic and beautiful race, running along the coast of Cape Cod. At the first mile marker you pass a beautiful lighthouse and the ocean is right there. I highly recommend it. We plan to have a team there every year. Let me know if you ever want to run it and I’ll reserve a bib for you on our team: Paul Magnus Foundation 👍
Another from the DC suburbs (No. Virginia). I do my maintenance runs in the neighborhood, my longer runs on the W & OD Trail. Starting to ramp up for my May Half up in Binghamton, NY near where I was raised.
Hi, Terrell. Moved to Eugene Or. this summer from Redmond, WA. We got lucky today, the sun is out! It has been foggy and in the high 30s and 40s. most of the week. I've actually made a training plan for the Eugene Half Marathon--a famous first for me, as I usually skip goals!
There are no trails. . .have to get used to suburbia and vertical climbs. . . I figure if trail runners can do it, so can I. . only difference is they use trails and not concrete, which is a downer. I'm figuring it out.
Signed up for a Virtual run--the Birds & Bees--Feb.1 til the end of March through Orca Running. 90 miles was the minimum--their Virtual Runs are fun and cost was minimal--$10 for digital--of course there were higher prices, but I didn't need more swag! Keep running. . . it is one way to stay warm if you don't want to be inside!
Hi Terrell, I live mainly in Toronto, Canada and love to run in the parks and ravines that run through the city. I also spend a lot of time in Vancouver and enjoy the run along the seawall from Kitz beach to Granville Island. I am looking forward to the longer days as it is challenging to find the time to run in the parks during the darker winter months.
Hi Terrell, I live in a small town, Indialantic, Florida. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley, Va, but we have lived here most of our life now. I usually run the same route here besides doing local races in Florida. I'm hoping to venture out a bit more with my running but have to get going again since the holidays.
Endless summer in El Salvador! I'm from Rhode Island but have lived here for about 3 1/2 years. I mostly run in our suburban neighborhood but when I can I run at the beach or in the mountains. I can see a volcano from my front step and there's a nice park on the volcano for trail running.
I'm in central Texas. Not originally from here, but I've been here nearly 20 years now. We came here because I took a teaching job at Baylor University, and now I'm the chair of the Film & Digital Media department here. Love the area and love working at Baylor! I run mostly in my neighborhood because I run early and school traffic outside the neighborhood keeps me from going too far. On weekends, I venture out, though. I like being able to do that. It's fun to run around Baylor, too, which has nice running trails.
Not too silly! I don't actually see them too much, but they are friends of friends and Joanna studied Communication at Baylor, which is in my building. They have done some stuff with our department, so we have run in similar circles. Waco is both a small town and a mid-size city, so it seems like everyone knows everyone! It's funny, my wife and I have watched a lot of Fixer Upper, and we know, at some level, several of the people whose houses have been done on that show. It's weird seeing your town on a hit show.
I am in Santa Rosa , CA and run on Brush and Santa Rosa Creek trails which are paved as well as country roads. I have run the Santa Rosa half marathon twice, it is a scenic run a long the river with views of the vineyards, it is a great community event!
A BIG thank you to Terrell and all the half marathon readers for keeping me inspired over the years, especially when my running life hits road bumps! Happy New Year 🎊
Hello, Michelle. My sister lives in Cazadero and I am out there several times a year. I'm always jealous of those who get to run in such beautiful areas. Long Island can be quite lovely in the spring and summer, but where I live is mostly suburbia! When is the Santa Rosa Half?
Right back at you, Michelle! I always say, you all are the ones who keep me inspired and keep me running too. Knowing you're out there keeps me going. 👊
I am these days but as I only started trails a couple of years ago, I still consider myself a novice and haven't yet signed up for a trail race- only city halves & marathons!
I'm in Brooklyn NY via Kuwait. I alternate between the two countries and running is limited in Kuwait. Weather doesn't allow it in the summer, and the lack of running infrastructure makes it harder to find routes for running in the country. I was overwhelmed when I moved to Brooklyn because everyone is either training for something, or running a race next weekend.. And it seemed puzzling to people that 'I just want to run'... I still just want to run.. so there's that!
Aloha! I'm on Maui and love running in the Makawao Forest. We are a small island but have such a diversity of places to run. Enjoy trails? We got you. Need to do some speed work? There's a flat bike path along the coast for that.
Yes! I saw it the day after Christmas. Most of the movie was filmed in Britain, I believe. The canal where the boys practiced (that I often run past) is now all built up and modern looking, so no good for a movie set in the 30s.
Washington is such a great running city -- I did an internship there a long (long!) time ago, and loved running around the mall and occasionally out to Mount Vernon. (And I ran the Marine Corps Marathon there, which was really cool.) Have any favorite runs?
Hello! I’m just outside of DC and greatly appreciate the great network of running paths we have around here. Looking to get out on trails through the woods more this year.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and then we moved to Colorado 25 years ago. I miss running next to the ocean but now I get to run with the view of the Rocky Mountains. I run around the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Commerce City, Co. This is now an animal refuge. It used to be a place where they made bombs during the war. I mostly see deer while I run but once in a while I get to see a herd of buffalos.
I am in Buffalo Grove, IL, Chicago suburb. Love reading these stories and love running, have done two halfs, my goal is to run Chicago Marathon. Originally from Ukraine. We have Ukrainian running club Chicago, occasionally we meet in Bussy Woods for runs.
Live and run in Shaker Heights, Ohio….a beautiful tree-lined community with wonderful walking/ running trails surrounding lakes.
Close by the gorgeous Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the 101 mile towpath linking Cleveland to Columbus , Cleveland is surrounded by trees called its “Emerald Necklace” and to many is known as the “Forest City”. If the Cuyahoga River had not burst into flames years ago ( helping to launch the environmental movement) and become the focus of National Comedic humor, Greater Cleveland would be the envy of many. Yes, I love Cleveland and Shaker Heights is one amazing progressive suburb with its story now truthfully told in a fabulous new book: “Dream Town” by Laura Meckler.
No, his last name was Sweeney. . . Thomas Cruze. . . He was a pathologist.. . the rest of the family moved Raleigh, NC. I do remember walking and pushing a stroller along one of the paths. My daughter was about 2 years old. . . time flies!!
Hey there Clark! 👋 I've researched the Towpath Half, which used to be run inside the Cuyahoga Valley Park (I think), and would absolutely love to join you for a run up there. Someday!
I'm from Southern California. I have lived in Minnesota for the past 4 years. I'll be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in a week for the Louisiana Half Marathon - Geaux Run!🏃♀️✈️🐢😄
I was born and raised in Mlps and lived in Ramsey before moving to Florida. Running in the winter after getting off was never much fun in the dark. Stay warm...
I am with a running group that meets on Saturdays during the winter, more often the other seasons. I do the treadmill and/or dog walk to get the rest of my steps in right now lol.
I definitely will be considering a 3 season state in 10-12 years.🏃♀️🥶😄
It's been going well albeit a tad chilly now. It's been a heat wave in MN terms and no race since Monumental in October so looking forward to a finish vs. PR 🏃♀️😊
I live in Reno Nevada. I escaped California 25 years ago. Hee hee. A trail ultrarunner in the past, now just love a good 20 on the trails near and around our beloved Lake Tahoe. I’ll be 65 this year and still run uninjured thanks to ChiRunning. I’ve been a Master Instructor and teaching ChiRunning for 15 years. Check it out if you want to learn good technique. I don’t mean to plug anything here but ChiRunning changed my life and running is who I am (for God’s glory) so I thought I’d say so. Happy trails everyone and thanks Terrell for your writings! If you all ever come out to visit Lake Tahoe look me up.
One of my sons is going to UNR! We just got back from visiting him in Reno last weekend. He took us up to Lake Tahoe and we walked a cool path around part of it. 👍🏼 We love Reno and Tahoe! 🥰
Hi, Cheryl! Another Chi Runner here. . . been so since 2009. You're only 65? I'm 76 and still going strong with Chi. Originally from Wellington, NV. Lived most of my life in Nevada. Right now, I'm in Oregon, training on the buttes for the Half in Eugene. I betting Skiing is terrible right now. Hope some moisture kicks in soon!
Yep skiing definitely is low tide right now. Hopefully a storm this weekend! So cool to hear from another Chirunner going strong! It really is a game changer!
Seen photos of you going down the slopes on the Chi Running news letter. I used to cross-country Kirkwood and Northstar. Worked with Danny (I got lucky!!) and with Beth Cline and some others in the Seattle area. So wonderful to find another Chi Runner on The Half Marathoner. I've been on Terrell's site for years!! Sure hope you get snow soon. We are hoping for just rain here in the Willamette Valley. The hills are too short, steep and icy if we get the white stuff!
Beth Cline is still teaching and doing well. Danny, as you may know, is doing retreats and speaking engagements still. I ran with him at the Memphis Half Marathon a month ago. He’s still pretty speedy. He ran the 10K in 1:04! He’s 74 and had a knee injury so thought he could have gone faster! You are truly blessed to have run with him. He’s an amazing human.
Skied today at Mt Rose which probably has the best snow in Tahoe. Need more!!
Beth stays in touch every so often. I didn't know Danny was doing retreats. Wonderful you got to run with him in Memphis. I really wanted to go, but having just moved to Oregon threw me off. Didn't know about his knee. . . I'm about the same age, a little older. Got a rowing machine over the holidays and it it amazing how much it has helped my knees. We have a lot of stairs (an I mean a lot!!) at our new place. Between them and the hills, I thought it was the end. . . but no! So much more energy and no impact. . .I am impressed!
Mt. Rose. . . I love it, especially the view from the meadows over Tahoe. I don't know how many times we did it cross country. The view is spectacular. You are truly lucky to live there!
Hey, Terrell! Bet your mail is overflowing today. . . so many readers of THM. I'll be going out the door soon. The Rowing machine is doing wonders! I've only done it a few days, but boy, boy, does it help with flexible knees and core muscles. . . a full body workout!
I had a friend who shared the book with me. I read a couple of pages, really liked what I read then bought the book. I read the first hundred pages and began to apply a few skills. Long story shorter, my knee pain disappeared! My husband couldn’t keep up with me as I ChiWalked up a local 11,000 foot peak! I was thrilled because I thought maybe this was the answer. That I really could run pain free. Within a year I became an instructor. 14 months after my workshop with a master instructor I ran my first 50 miler. Two years later I became a certified instructor and in 2014 Danny designated me a Master. I’ve taught hundreds of people of all ages and abilities. Running and teaching ChiRunning is the joy and passion of my life! Thanks for asking Terrell. People won’t hear about it in the mainstream running media.
That’s awesome! ChiRunning has helped thousands around the world. If Danny’s writing resonates with you find an instructor near you and learn in person. Run well!
I’m from Buffalo NY where my favorite runs are along the Frederick Law Olmsted designed parks and parkways. I moved away 12 years ago but continue to enjoy these runs on my frequent visits. Now my home is Santa Barbara CA where I enjoy running the 8 miles of paved path alongside the beach. Starting February 1st I’ll be on a six month assignment in Washington DC and I’m looking forward to discovering new routes in the area. By the way, I have been a member of the US Running Streak Association since 2006. Members maintain a running streak by running every day, so I’ll have lots of opportunities to explore during my 180 runs in DC.
I'm a frequent lurker here on the half marathoner but I'm from capital of Viet Nam - Hanoi but currently living in Texas 😎 I picked up running from a running class college

Hi Angie! 👋
Hello froom Panama! 🇵🇦 I have been here six months and running...
I serendipitously got to do the Panama City Half Marathon in November. I wasn’t ready but i got through it. The heat was the biggest challenge.
Hi there Moni!!!
Hello from the UK! I’m in Peterborough which is 45 mins north of London. I moved up here from London last year. I’m training for the Boston Marathon - Boston UK that is (the original Boston as the locals like to say). Fewer hills.
Welcome, Laura! 👋 I love that you're training for the "original" Boston! When is the race?
28 April. It cost me £34 to enter which is a bit of a bargain I’d say.
Hi Kimberly! Did y'all get any snow this weekend? Hope you feel better!
No we did not! Planning on getting 2 runs this week and one this weekend! Take care
Hello people! I'm Flavio, form Vicenza, Italy, living in Budapest, Hungary
Welcome, Flavio! 👋
In Girona, Catalonia, Spain, but originally from the western USA!
How cool! What's the running like there?

Hi there, Cait! 👋 Welcome to our crew here! 😃
Very happy to be here! I live in such a quiet part of the world now, it feels good to be able to connect with people online. ☺️
Upstate NY and it’s 🥶❤️
Las Vegas, Nevada!

Hope I can live long & die fast…
Agreed!
Hi, Jen here is the link to website, it includes all three events.
https://santarosamarathon.com/
Enjoy!
Big cottonwood canyon drop 13 would be my favorite.
Hi from Syracuse, New York! The Erie Canal train here is great for running.
I’m from cortland. I do the wineglass most years. I would like to check out the Erie trail. Lyme hollow is nice down here
I’m partly in Annapolis, partly Baltimore. Next up: Annapolis Half Marathon, March 9. Husband is running Boston in April. I’m thinking of signing up for a couple Half’s in other cities this year for the fun of travel and discovery.

I'm in Central Florida, Lakeland-ish. I'd love to meet up with other "Floridians" (is there really a such thing? 😉) I'm also looking for a Georgia race, maybe in May. Any suggestions?
Dave, here. From Coral Springs . Will be in New Smyrna Beach for Sharkbite 5K/half on 1/13 and 1/14.
Hi Stacy! So Georgia in May? Here’s the only one I could find: https://runsignup.com/Race/GA/Columbus/Rotary5182024?aflt_token=vkmwDmweQ4iCYn8otSOOnKQ3vCO8buOw
Good things come to those who wait. I still call her my bride. She says at 74 she's too old to be a bride. I just tell her she will be my bride until my last breath.
Oh Gosh, Steve! You sure know how to WOW them!! )
Never!🥰 Hallmark still exists!
Steve, that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard. It sounds like you two have had an amazing marriage.

Glad you're on the mend. It's no fun sitting there and seeing everyone do what you want most to do. Easy as it goes... you'll get there...
Disney is a 25 minute drive for me on a good day. Hour+ most days though. 😭😋
I'm an hour away on a good day. When I do run Disney, I'm going to get a room close by. It'll be worth it when you have to be there by 5:00am.
That’s the one. I’ve run them all

Baltimore is a GREAT time! I’ve done the Half a few times. Love the party atmosphere the whole way.
And your foundation is amazing. What a beautiful way to honor your precious son.
Thank you Julie, we are so thankful to give back to the Heart community in his honor 💙
Right back at you, Nick! You are so kind to say that -- thank you!! I'm really glad they helped, and I'm INSANELY jealous you got to run Falmouth! The Virtual Run is called Birds VS the bees. Has a neat story to go with it. look it up on RunSignup under OrcaRunning virtual runs.
You can do it, Nilima! :) Very cool about the training plan. I can imagine that's something to get used to, especially after where you lived before!
Hi, Joanne! 👋 I can imagine it would be, especially this time of year. Stay warm!! When does it start getting warmer/sunnier so you can run there?
Hi Terrell, I live in a small town, Indialantic, Florida. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley, Va, but we have lived here most of our life now. I usually run the same route here besides doing local races in Florida. I'm hoping to venture out a bit more with my running but have to get going again since the holidays.
Hi Martha! 👋 Getting going again has been slow for me after the holidays too 😃
Happy new year! I live in Vancouver, Canada and love running along the seawall, especially in Stanley Park. It never gets old. :)
Here's to great running (and dancing) to all in 2024!
Hi from Burnaby! 👋 The seawall is amazing!
Right back at you, Alex! How is the weather in Vancouver?
Endless summer in El Salvador! I'm from Rhode Island but have lived here for about 3 1/2 years. I mostly run in our suburban neighborhood but when I can I run at the beach or in the mountains. I can see a volcano from my front step and there's a nice park on the volcano for trail running.
Wow, Stephanie! Where you live sounds like it has some truly amazing places to run.
Hey there Chris! 👋 Do you ever see Chip and Joanna Gaines around town? (I know that's a silly question, but I had to ask!)
Hey Michelle, I'm in Petaluma! Cheers to another Sonoma County runner!
Right back at you, Michelle! I always say, you all are the ones who keep me inspired and keep me running too. Knowing you're out there keeps me going. 👊
Salt Lake city, Utah. Love to trail run. Mostly do half marathon road races
Hi Dawn! 👋 Do you have a favorite race out there? I've never been to Salt Lake City but I've spent some time in Utah and loved it.
Favorite race is road race down big cottonwood canyon.
I’m in Edinburgh, Scotland! I love to run in the Highlands, particularly Glencoe.
Oh, that sounds absolutely wonderful -- are you primarily a trail runner, then?
I am these days but as I only started trails a couple of years ago, I still consider myself a novice and haven't yet signed up for a trail race- only city halves & marathons!
Grand Cayman, the Cayman Islands. :)
Some friends of mine just got back from a visit there -- they absolutely loved it! Have you run the marathon there?
Yes, I did the half! 😍
Arroyo Grande, California. The beautiful central coast.
Hey there Matt! 👋 How is the goal of 150 miles for the month going?
Didn’t get it for Dec. January mmmmmm maybe
Lansing Michigan
I'm in Brooklyn NY via Kuwait. I alternate between the two countries and running is limited in Kuwait. Weather doesn't allow it in the summer, and the lack of running infrastructure makes it harder to find routes for running in the country. I was overwhelmed when I moved to Brooklyn because everyone is either training for something, or running a race next weekend.. And it seemed puzzling to people that 'I just want to run'... I still just want to run.. so there's that!
I can imagine the difference between the two would be jarring! Have you had a chance to run in Prospect Park in Brooklyn?
it's my running track.. I live like a mile away from it, so I'm always there haha. It's a wonderful place to run.
Aloha! I'm on Maui and love running in the Makawao Forest. We are a small island but have such a diversity of places to run. Enjoy trails? We got you. Need to do some speed work? There's a flat bike path along the coast for that.
That sounds AMAZING, Brad -- I'm going to Google "Makawao Forest" now...
I'm in Seattle and my favorite place to run is along the Burke-Gilman trail, especially the canal where the movie Boys on the Boat is set.
I've got to see that! The movie of it just came out, right? Did they film any of it there?
Yes! I saw it the day after Christmas. Most of the movie was filmed in Britain, I believe. The canal where the boys practiced (that I often run past) is now all built up and modern looking, so no good for a movie set in the 30s.
Hello! I’m in the DC area and love running around the city but also enjoy running on some nearby trails.
That's so cool, Mirtha!
Hi Tetyana! 👋 I would love to reach out to you to learn more about the Ukrainian running club -- could I?
Hi Terrell. Sure you can.
It is beautiful. My father in law lived there before he passed on in 1994.
In Shaker Heights? Same last name as yours Nilimia?
No, his last name was Sweeney. . . Thomas Cruze. . . He was a pathologist.. . the rest of the family moved Raleigh, NC. I do remember walking and pushing a stroller along one of the paths. My daughter was about 2 years old. . . time flies!!
Hey there Clark! 👋 I've researched the Towpath Half, which used to be run inside the Cuyahoga Valley Park (I think), and would absolutely love to join you for a run up there. Someday!
Open invitation…👣❗️👣
I'm from Southern California. I have lived in Minnesota for the past 4 years. I'll be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in a week for the Louisiana Half Marathon - Geaux Run!🏃♀️✈️🐢😄
I was born and raised in Mlps and lived in Ramsey before moving to Florida. Running in the winter after getting off was never much fun in the dark. Stay warm...
Thank you!
I am with a running group that meets on Saturdays during the winter, more often the other seasons. I do the treadmill and/or dog walk to get the rest of my steps in right now lol.
I definitely will be considering a 3 season state in 10-12 years.🏃♀️🥶😄
My ex got transferred to Jacksonville 35 years ago. She got me to Florida and then dumped me for someone else and moved to Michigan...
I met the love of my life and still crazy in Love with her... after 30 years I still call her my Bride.
That's awesome!
I divorced in CA, waited to start dating again until I moved here. It's been interesting.😂 Eventually all will fall in place.😊
Very nice, Julia! How has the training been going? Good luck in Baton Rouge!!
Hi, Nilima! 👋
Hey, Terrell! Bet your mail is overflowing today. . . so many readers of THM. I'll be going out the door soon. The Rowing machine is doing wonders! I've only done it a few days, but boy, boy, does it help with flexible knees and core muscles. . . a full body workout!
This is so cool, Cheryl! How did you get into ChiRunning?
Most people hear about it word of mouth.
ChiRunning.com is the website where you can learn more.
Cheers!
I have a ChiRunning book and you've now inspired me to take it out and try again!
That's Florence. Been across that bridge. I'm in Maryland. I've got 2 halves scheduled for this Spring and 1 in the Fall. Happy New Year everyone!
I'm a frequent lurker here on the half marathoner but I'm from capital of Viet Nam - Hanoi but currently living in Texas 😎 I picked up running from a running class college
Hey there Minh! 👋 So good to "see" you. Hope your holidays and new year were great!
Happy New Year Terrell! It was quality time spent with family for sure
Hanoi is a very interesting city. I was there ins 2011 for a 2 week teaching assignment at the university and stayed in the Melia Hotel.
I am very familiar with that area. Glad you enjoyed!
