I appreciate hearing from another perspective in this crazy mess. As runners we are sad not to have races to run, while race directors/companies are just trying to hang on.
I can’t wait for this to be over! If there aren’t any races for a year, I’m going to be so sad!!!!
Right there with you, Corrina! I think there could be smaller races (especially trail races), that attract smaller fields, which by their nature would make it easier to do social distancing. (Plus, they're generally lower-key events, so no big expos/gatherings. People just show up and run.)
The big, big races -- ones like Chicago, NYC, Boston, etc. -- it's difficult to imagine them running before 2021. But, as always, I have no crystal ball, and I'd be more than happy to be wrong about this. 😊
