I really enjoyed this Q&A, thank you. I read her race report that came out a couple of days ago, about the trail race in Greece, and I can relate to a lot of her disappointment with slowing down balanced by the joy at being out there and participating in races.

Saw your email, Sarah (and have changed the comment settings, which I'd accidentally set to only paid). Great tips there, some of which I was already mindful of. But there's nothing like near-100-degree heat and relentless uphill to make certain plans and intentions fall by the wayside. That's the challenge, isn't it? To keep to the plan even as, ahem, you discover something like you can't stand the taste of fully 30% of your food supplies!
