Four (more) things I've learned from Scott Douglas's 'Running Is My Therapy'; plus in-person races you can run in Florida, Oregon, Texas, Utah + Norway
I agree people should run more slowly so I can catch up with them 😉 Thanks for suggesting the Walt Whitman read, which really hits home for me because running is one of my tools to stay active and healthy into old age. Someday I want to be one of the 100 year olds who compete in national field & track events. Just type 100 year old runners into YouTube to watch their amazing achievements!
You're welcome, Maria! It's hard advice for me to follow, to be honest -- I feel like we all have a set pace at which we run, which we naturally speed up to/slow down to. It can be hard to will yourself to run a little slower. But it helps.

I want to be one of those 100-year-olds too, Bren. I love "Uncle Walt" too. Will definitely check out the 100-year-old runners on YouTube!

I live from race to race. It’s true. I love the training. It helps me feel focused.
One of my goals is to execute on the "run slower" advice!
