It's been tough! I've tried to embrace the fact that I don't have any actual races coming up and I can just go on runs that I will enjoy not that I have to do. One of my friends recommended this episode on sports psychology of a cycling podcast (don't worry, not too much on cycling and I would recommend it too): https://www.velonews.com/…

One of the things they talked about in it was that you need to love the process, not just races. I thought of that a lot because sometimes I don't! So I'm trying to remember what I love about running and just enjoy my time outside.
With that said, I have about 6 races that got canceled or delayed and I'm really worried that summer and fall races are also going to get canceled. I know there are way more important things than racing, but it is something I love. I'm glad they are making the right decisions to keep everyone safe, but I'm still sad.
Thanks so much for sharing that, Jennifer! I'll definitely check it out. And on the races, I'm sad there with you -- but they will come back. I have no idea when, but they will. 😊
