It depends on age. I am 66, and 9:30 miles will sometimes get an age group award in a half marathon. When I was 30, that was painfully slow. The main thing is to have fun and stay fit.

So right! I'm 49 and I run just under a 9-minute mile for most of my runs. (Except when I get up to the longer distances.) What distance(s) are you focused on running now?
During the heat of the summer, I drop back to training 5 days a week, 4-6 miles, no more. Then in the fall a few longer runs to get back into form for the half. I run a few 5K's, but mostly just 3 half marathons a year here in Texas. Those are all in the cooler season.
