Love, love, love this! When we run for play and allow ourselves to truly just enjoy it, the experience is completely different. There are days I take my training more seriously and I'm a goal-oriented runner, but I also make sure I run for fun too. I like the sentiment "when was the last time you did something for the first time?" Maybe it's running somewhere different, taking a silly photo each mile, "running" an errand, or running with a new friend (maybe save that one for when we're pandemic-free).

Everything you said is why my daughter and I love running Disney races...which are real races (qualifying times are required for corral placement) and we laugh and take photos thru the whole race. Non-Disney races are good, too, but every now and then you just need some magic miles!!!
