Trying to get as many miles as possible before my surgery in mid March, that motivates me!!! My next Half is just before surgery. And another motivator is my goal of re-entering the full marathon space. I ran 10 full marathons in the late '90s, and then I retired. Started running half marathons a few years back, and now, at 63, I'm itching to tackle 26.2 again. With different expectations, of course, because my body isn't the same, but thinking about running a full in October is keeping me going. Also, Terrell, your post the other day about not focusing only on running fast races, but just running and enjoying it, was a great burden off my shoulders!!! Thank you for all you do for us, and for how you keep us going.

Wow, Leticia — 10 marathons is seriously impressive! Which were your favorites? And thank you for the kind words — it means everything to hear that! 😀

Vancouver, Canada was my fave marathon, despite the BIG hill at mile 22 or so...

Dropping 10 lbs for my 35th high school reunion in mid-May is motivating me to run the Providence Half on 05/03!

I agree....I definitely need something to look forward to in order to motivate me. I’m thinking of doing a virtual challenge that would keep me moving such as Run the Edge offers. But I do love he energy of running/walking with a group. A quick question...I’m an older woman, 65 years, and more focused on walking at this time. Does your paid subscription talk about walking vs. running? Thanks so much! All the best, Paula
