I live in upstate New York, near the Finger Lakes. I love to run in our forests, on the trails and in our neighborhood. I am also an avid hiker and love to hike in the Adirondack Mountains of New York but also I have hiked in France, Switzerland, western Canada and Italy.
I am from USA but living in Kenya since 1972 (excepting a 4-year stint at Berkeley in the early 1980s). My favorite run is up my (steep, steep) driveway and through the grounds of the nearby University of Nairobi agricultural and veterinary campus.
Hi hi! I am in DC and am in love with running through Rock Creek Park. 4-6mi is my sweet spot but I really would love to learn to get past that mark and one day feel the capacity to do a half marathon.

To kick us off, in case it wasn’t obvious (!) I live in Atlanta, Ga., a city that’s of course in the south and yet not quite part of it — it’s very much its own distinctive place. My favorite distances lately are 5Ks and 10Ks, and longtime readers here know where I love most to run, the trails up and down our Chattahoochee River national park areas.

Tel Aviv is gorgeous! I went there once on a trip almost 20 years ago; it reminded me a little of Los Angeles. Did you make it over to Old Jaffa?
