When I first got into running back in the 90s, a quality pair of shoes was the only equipment I could imagine needing. Today, of course, we have Apple Watches, Garmins, heart rate monitors, high-tech shoes, running smartphone apps, and more.
In many ways, I love the technology I use — an Apple Watch, which I use to record my runs and upload to our Strava group. But I’ve heard from a few people lately who’ve decided to put their smartwatches back in the drawer, and are enjoying running by feel again.
Do you run with a smartwatch or use wearable technology, and get useful info from it? Or have you given it up/never tried it? — Terrell
