Unfortunately I am running the MCM (it’s the 50th anniversary of the race so they doubled the capacity~40k) the following weekend so I’ll have to skip this one. Definitely next time.
Already committed to the Chicago Half Marathon on Sept.28........I think that will finish my year except for a few 5K's..........I did The Gary Bjorkland Half which is part of Grandma's Marathon in Duluth MN in June. That was my first Half in 4 years so WOW.....but we had a lot of fun!!!!! Looks like we will all be training this summer............Enjoy!!!!
Sounds great so wish I could join you guys unfortunately can’t make it this time around but hopefully next time. Hope everyone that can make it has a great time and safe travels
Sounds like fun! I gather there is no expo - so where do you pick up the bibs? web-site wasn't too clear on that. Also, do they have an 85+ year group? Hot and humid here in No. VA - tough to train outside. di a 7 miler this AM and lost 2 pounds of water weight.
Hey there Ken! You're right, they don't have an expo, but they do have an organized place (it's actually near the starting line, at Atlantic Station) where you can pick up your race bib on Saturday. They also sell race t-shirts, hats, gloves, etc., there, so for all intents and purposes, it's essentially an expo.
I'm trying to get back into running ... I signed up for next year's Peachtree (a race I've never done!) and just committed to a local 5K this fall with a friend. Not sure if I'll be up for a 10-miler by October, but it would be fun to maybe take part in a pre-race group run on the BeltLine!
Yes! I love that, Rebecca — and that’s the idea, to give you guys a way to participate in all or part of the weekend as you like. I’m even thinking of maybe putting together an Atlanta-based weekly run to train for it. Interested?
Do I have to be a paid subscriber to join?
To join us in Atlanta for the 10-miler? No -- though I'd love it if you became one! :)
You'll need to be a paid subscriber to receive my training plan for the race.

I'm bummed we'll miss you, but really happy to hear about the Grandma's Marathon -- how did it go? What was it like?
Thanks Terrell.
My wife and I will seriously consider this one.

We'll miss you, Blue! Next time for sure.

Count me in! I don't know If I can run or walk, but I'd sure like to be with you folks!
Timing is perfect!
Hope you had a good vacation. . . made it to the Farmer's Market yesterday! It's been really
hot and dry here in Eugene. . . almost time to harvest the Garlic!
Awesome, Nilima! I can't wait to finally meet in person! :)
I'm in the same boat (unsure about walking/running!). If I do sign up, I'll probably do a fair share of walking myself!
Walk with me! :)
Wish I could join! I have a big family trip in late October so probably can't take more time off around then haha.
We'll miss you, Kevin! Catch us next time for sure.

Yes! As long as everyone's fine with a slow runner in the mix 😂🙋🏼♀️
This sounds like fun, plus I can visit family.
Awesome, Theresa! Can't wait to meet up in person.
A very FUN race that really does give you a lovely glimpse of the city and the Beltline is the best! Great idea Terrell!
Thanks, Jeanne! I actually was thinking of you yesterday, and have an idea for you — I’ll reach out by email 👍
Welvome back!
I'll still be on my 50 state trek before I can do these (unless a state pops up I haven't done). I hope to hit up one of the races afterwards.😄
The camaraderie is one of the reasons why I keep running.
Awesome, Julia! We'll miss you in October, but hope to meet up in person out there someday! :)
