Thank you for suggestions regarding replacing shoes! I was really surprised with the fact that walking/standing for 8 hrs a day would make it worse for shoes than running 40 miles weekly. And also it makes sense to think about last seasons shoes. I have a question though - what should I do with my retired shoes then? They are like done, at least for running to avoid injuries (yes, agree with that completely). Well I can use them for a little bit to walk here and there, but then to donate seems like really bad idea even if they are not torn and have not completely bold thread.
