It’s almost time.
Time to power down, to kick my feet up and take a little rest. Soon, I’ll be heading with my family to a beach along the South Carolina coast, just like the one in the photo above.
It’s one of my favorite places in the world, a place where the afternoon sunset always feels like time slowing down, a place where I can put all my cares away for a few days.
Though I’m not sure there’ll be much break from the heat we’ve been experiencing where I live here in Georgia; at the beach it’ll probably be even warmer!
Still, that’s okay. I’ll be off the grid and doing some reading, hoping to finish the wonderful Harper Lee collection I recently picked up, The Land of Sweet Forever, plus Kathryn Stockett’s The Calamity Club, her second novel and one I’d read she was working on a decade ago, but had long given up hope she’d ever finish.
And yet, here it is. (Which goes to show, we never really know what the future holds, do we?)
I hope your running has been going great and you’ve been having big adventures. Some of you, I know, have been running goal races and notching big accomplishments — which is amazing! If you have one coming up or really anything you’re looking forward to, I’d love to hear about it.
Until we talk again — which I expect to be in a couple of weeks — I hope you’re having a wonderful, restful summer, and that you get to take some well-deserved time off too.
As always, keep in touch and let me know how your running/life is going.
Your friend,
— Terrell
P.S.: I’ll have at least one, maybe two additional issues between now and then for paid subscribers, so be on the lookout for those 👍

Hope there is a nice breeze off the ocean! I recently walked the Coastal version of the Portuguese Camino and the ocean breeze was lovely. It's not running but it's still a challenge for the legs and feet!
Enjoy!!!
