What an amazing recap Terrell! It looked like a super fun race. Thank you for sharing that.
I ran New York last weekend for the first time (perhaps the last) jury‘s still out, LOL. I’m still perseverating on those bridges. It was a challenging race but it’s done (star # 5) and I was still standing after the final hill to exit Central Park, (who does that)? LOL!
Thankfully the weather was amazing, a bit hot to be honest. The extended bus ride and wait time (almost 3 hrs) in Village was not helpful. You feel (well I did) exhausted before you even make it to your coral, but hey, what’s a race day without all the shenanigans! Loved it all!
This past Sunday, completed the BAA half in Boston, (if you know Boston we were in for a freezing race), and that it was, (last year it rained the entire race), thankful there was no rain added to this years bitter cold. Toes and fingers were frozen and feet just felt like cinder blocks (finally left sensation somewhere between miles 4-6). The rolling hills fit perfectly in the Boston course and they just kept on coming. The crowds dwindled at times, LOL, but for the most part, there were lots of brave souls who sacrificed there own bodies to cheer us along! It was a time, and we took full advantage of it! Looking forward to next years Boston Half (it’s technically the Boston Medley, 5k, 10k, half) I wasn’t able to do the 10k). Overall a great way to break in Boston for anyone. Hope to see you here next year Terrell and anyone else.
Everything about this trip was fabulous. Meeting so many of you Friday night and Saturday post run. The race itself, great community support, great course, the mix of city streets, park run and neighborhoods. The fall colors!!! And the airport, so efficient and friendly. My drive from hotel, car returned, bags checked, security done all in less than an hour. Can't wait to do it all again.
This is so wonderful and inspiring. I so would have loved to join, but...
My world has been a bit topsy turvy since late August. The hospital where I worked for almost 20 years filed for bankruptcy and laid off about 90% of the staff. They offered me a job, but I would have had to switch to nights, and I just couldn't. So, I started a new job and it has taken some getting used to, plus, I have no time-off earned yet. Running is what has kept me sane these last 3 months.
Hopefully, I will be able to join you all in a future race.
Maria, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to the hospital. That's a huge, huge bummer; I feel for you, big time. I *am* glad to hear you found a new job, but I imagine there's a big adjustment involved, especially when you'd been at your previous one for almost 20 years. I definitely hope you join us at a future race! It would be so much fun to meet in person, after all these years! My heart goes out to you.
Way to go everyone!! So proud of all of you! I followed your plan, Terrell, and ran a half in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago, so was cheering each of you. :) Hope to join another one!
Hi there Alex! So sorry for the tardy reply -- how did the half in Vancouver go? I'd LOVE to run up there. Hope you join us at the next one! (I'm thinking we'll do the west coast next year.)
Thanks, Maddie! You definitely should! I'll keep you posted -- Eugene might work really well; the time of year is great, and Eugene is kind of where all this started, so it might just be perfect.
What a great event! I would have loved to have been a part of it, had my schedule allowed. I'll be keeping an eye out for future developments. And congrats to everyone who raced!
Congratulations to you all! I confess I've also been slacking-in both training and in reading the blog-over the past couple months because of work, but I still managed to run a (chilly!) half in Newburyport, MA yesterday. Took it a little slower and had no problem finishing because of all the happy chearleaders along the way.
So great to see photos! Now tot meet in person would be the cherry on top o the sundae! Photos were so encouraging. . . I hope I can make it this coming spring where ever it is. I'll be thinking of you all this weekend while Run to Stay Warm in Eugene!
Isn't it funny how you can keep on running after crossing the Finish? Same thing happened to me when I did the Golden Gate in SF! :)

Welcome to Boston!
Wow, Chryl! So you did the NYC Marathon one weekend, and the BAA Half the next? You're a rockstar!!!
Yes! It was awesome! Both with a different level of challenges and fun. I guess I needed a shakeout run after the marathon! LOL.
Great to meet all in the wonderful town of Richmond! We enjoyed a great day to race and the post race party went on for hours!
Was so great to meet you, John!
So much fun!
It was great to have met you all. I felt honored to have ran this race with you all. Thank you again, Terrell for organizing this. Until the next one!
Congratulations! I hope you all had a great race!
Thanks, Erin! It really was fun -- if I lived there, I'd run it every year.

Thank you. It means so much to know others care.
Missed you and your comments lately. Hope to see in the Spring for another meet-up
How kind. Thank you.

Huge congrats to you, and everyone who raced—what a fun surprise to find extra fuel in the tank near the finish line!
I didn't think I'd be interested in running a half anytime soon, but Eugene is driving distance from me, so... 🤔
Thanks, Maddie! You definitely should! I'll keep you posted -- Eugene might work really well; the time of year is great, and Eugene is kind of where all this started, so it might just be perfect.
Seconding (thirding?) the idea of Eugene!!
+1 to all that. I'll keep my eyes peeled!
Great pictures and congrats everyone!

Next time for sure, Henriette!
Well done gang!
Congratulations all! So fun to see the pictures and hear how it went!!
Yay!!! I was thinking about you guys running it this weekend. Glad things went so well! 😎
Amazing!! Congratulations to you all. I loved seeing the photos. Enjoy your recovery week and celebrate!
Thanks, Julie!

Isn't it odd? Good luck at the Run to Stay Warm, Nilima!
One of those strange things that happens to runners!
Thanks! It's only a 5K, but one has to start somewhere..
Found a whole new section of Eugene where I go to pick up my bib and race! Looks like there are even some decent gathering places!! :)
