Wow, just wow. What an avalanche of wisdom. You know, it really is a reminder to me when I reflect on those whom experience Depression. Even those with celebrity type status which, on the surface, would seem improbable sadness could reach them.
They are people too. Their experiences are just like ours, just different.
Thinking out loud.
Excellent article and I'm taking the lessons to heart.
Thank you for sharing Alexi Pappas’ book! I put it on my “To Read” list. Thanks also for the list of 10 from that runner who ran every day for a year. (Wow! That’s impressive!) Loved that list. Las Vegas is a windy place. I can totally relate to running in the wind being sucky. 😊
It's such a great book! It really covers the gamut -- it's not just about running, though big parts of it are. My favorite chapter is the one about how much she loves Jerry Seinfeld -- I think you'll love it!
I've started doing long runs on Sunday with no goals in mind... I still do my speed runs during the week to see if my endurance is still there, but to run for just the enjoyment of it is something up until now I would have even considered... I'm driven... I push myself most days... but going back to why I started running all those years ago is... refreshing... :)
I am loving this book, we are reading it in another forum. I am finding it inspiring and thought provoking.
How cool! Are you all the way through yet?
We are through 12 Boy's vs Girls
I will put Alexi's book on my list. And the races in Scotland are already on my list!

Thanks so much, Robert!

P.S. I want to run in Scotland now! My eyes can never get enough of the gorgeous green landscape. Amazing!
