In a race, I'll take ALL the luck I can get. I was doing a 5K YEARS ago. I saw my nemesis just ahead of me. I told my aching body if it wold just give me a bit more I'd never ask again. I beat him by a whisper, he never saw me coming up from behind. I LIED!!! it seems every race I ask my body to give me a "little bit" more... Sometimes it listens and other times it reminds me of my promise... Keep Lady Luck on your shoulder...
Ha, ha! Don't we all make that request every time? Even Lady Luck sometimes loses to Chance or the Element of Surprise! It's a crap game, but best to ask anyway! :)
