Morning, friends! It’s hot 🥵 here in Atlanta, where we’re waking up these days to temperatures near 80 degrees, with plenty of humidity even in the early hours of the morning.
It’s been a while since we had a proper Friday thread chat, so I thought I’d throw out my favorite question I like to ask: where are you from/where do you live out there in the world? Where do you love to run? And what distances are your favorite(s)?
I love to ask because it shows where we’re all scattered around the planet — over the years, I’ve heard from readers in just about every state, plus Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jerusalem, Tajikistan, India, Italy, France, Poland, Lithuania… the list goes on and on and on.
Some of you have used these threads to meet up for races in person — which is awesome! — and I love it because it gives us the chance to get to know each other better, and perhaps meet up to run together in person, whether it’s for a race or to set up a weekend running group.
So, let’s hear from you — where are you in the world? — Terrell
In case it wasn't already obvious, I'm in Atlanta, by the way 😃
Hello everyone! I'm based in San Francisco and I love running on the city's mountain and canyon trails. While I've done longer distances, my favorite distance is a half marathon (just like the name of this newsletter!). It's an impressive running goal to strive for but not a super crazy time commitment that is disruptive to schedules and requires running 3-5 hours at a time
