With rich insight, humility, and her trademark grace, Shirley MacLaine gently leads us on a sacred adventure toward an inexpressibly transcendent climax." Apologies if this is your type of thing, but, "the meaning of the cosmos"? From Shirley MacLaine? Gimme a break.
I had the privilege of visiting Machu Pichu 10 years ago. It was amazing for so many reasons, but not least of all because it is so accessible. You can walk around this ancient city and touch the walls and walk on the surface of something so old and historic, you would think that it would have very limited access. In fact, only one structure was cordoned off. It was a structure with a pointed rock that years before Shirley Maclaine had touched and reportedly had a vision of her past life as an Incan princess. After that, so many people wanted to touch it that it had to be protected. Our guide commented on this saying that it was interesting to him that whenever anyone had visions of themselves in past lives, they were always royalty. No one seems to have been the peasant farmer or storekeeper.

So true! 🤣
Wow! That's... quite something 🤣
I had a great journey on the Camino, but Shirley's trip appears to have been a little, um, trippier than mine.
