I'll start! 😀 While I haven't run any races this spring -- except for a 10K here in Atlanta in January, which probably doesn't count as spring, but still took place in 2025 -- what I'm most proud of is staying consistent with a plan I laid out back in January, running 3-4 times a week, just short distances, but staying consistent.

I didn't take any really long breaks, never more than a week off from running, and so I feel good going into what I'm looking forward to for us this fall: training for the half we'll run in November (which I still need to pick out!).

In the midst of moving/relocating to Lewes, DE, I trained for the Delaware Half Marathon. Not only did I finish strong, but I came in first in my age group....."1st place female." An unexpected surprise!

I’ve been in the crazy runner zone since January. I have completed 19 half marathons so for this year. I’m having a blast and although I will miss this weekend, I’ll be back at it next weekend in Chicago. All my best to everyone who is out there having their version of running fun!!! See you all on the courses, trails, and streets. Have a great summer.

19 half-marathons this year?!? Wow. You are my hero. That’s almost every weekend? It takes me ten days to recover from a half. I’m curious if you have a strategy for a quick recovery.

I signed up for group coaching to support my training for the NYC marathon this fall. It's my first time with a coach. So far so good!

That's the way to do it, especially with that distance -- those long runs, especially when you get beyond 10 or 11 miles, it SO helps to have friends to run them with. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

We had a great time. Our youngest age 22 finished well and ahead of us older ones. 12 miles with 1615ft of elevation gain. Most of that was one loooong mountain.

No races since injuring foot … doc says try it out no earlier than Father’s Day. Gym work is keeping me from adding pounds. Have been swimming with bathing cap due to Mohs surgery healing process. Taking Panama Canal cruise in December. It will be on a Princess ship that is one of two small enough to transit the canal … added bonus … it has a great 1/3 mile walking/jogging deck.

Not much running the last couple of weeks. I have been working in the woodshop getting ready for my first craft show this weekend. Eight hour days on my feet didn’t leave much energy for running. Back to normal next week. Happy Trails.

I had surgery at the end of February, so I basically took six weeks off and only had three weeks back at it before I ran a half-marathon the first weekend of May. (I asked my doctor right before surgery -- "I have a half-marathon in 9 weeks. I'll be good, right?" and he laughed at me and said, "Probably not, but I love the motivation!") I ran much slower than I did in the same race last year, and took more walking breaks, but finished strong and felt great.

Now I'm diving in to a training block to prepare myself for the Marine Corps Marathon in October. Gotta start early to heat adapt for the humid eastern NC weather that's already creeping in!

So glad to hear the surgery -- and the recovery! -- went well. That sounds like basically it couldn't have gone any better! Have you ever run the MCM before? You'll LOVE it.

Your post is absolutely inspirational!!! I got a kick out of what your doctor said; they tend to be this way when asked about returning to running! You have inspired me greatly when you shared how you were able to do a half just a few weeks back running. I'll be out for six weeks, returning to running August 6 after my June 26th surgery. You have given me hope that the Maine Half Marathon (marathon and relay as well) on October 5th may be a possibility!! Thank you so much for sharing!!

I've had to pause my training for the Grandma's (Half) Marathon for two weeks thanks to some gnarly shin splints. Been cross training and feeling pretty pain free so going on my first short test run tomorrow-- fingers crossed! Either way I'm looking forward to the trip and my boyfriend has really embraced training for his first half marathon so excited to support him during the experience.

Completed my first trail half early may. Fell once, scrapped palms and elbow. It was fun, fnished in under 3 hours. I'm a real trail runner now. Planning another trail half in September. Might have to think about a road trip to GA in November. Still running, still waiting on a little warmer weather here in Illinois.

Unfortunately my training has been hit and miss............however I am training for a Half Marathon that is run with Grandma's Marathon in Duluth MN, June 21st. I did participate in a "5K All Day" 2 weeks ago............if you have not done this it is a fantastic day!!!! We had great weather........1st run started at 8 AM......Marathon Runners ran a 5K every hour...........Half Marathon Runners ran a 5K every other hour. The last run is short but finishes out the 13.1 or 26.2 Miles............doing the 5K every other hour was fantastic.........During my last run......I added the extra distance.......I decided I probably would not want to run the short distance..........Our hosts did this last year and decided to make it an annual event............I totally recommend a day of training like this ..........we shared a lot of training tips.......diet.......exercises.......experiences.........we were running but also sharing experience!

I’ve finally prioritized my running in preparation for my first marathon coming up at the end of June and the 2 races I’ve done during the training cycle have felt great! It’s reassuring to know that listening to my body and staying consistent is getting me where I want to be with my running goals!

I ran the La Jolla Half last Saturday. I was really looking forward to it, but worried because it’s the weekend before the last week of school. As a teacher I’m usually TIRED by then, but everything went great! It was a fun race and had almost 8,000 runners in both the half and the 5K, so lots of energy and support. I didn’t run my fastest race, but who cares. It was for fun!!! I signed up for next year’s. Maybe I’ll beat my time. 😜
