It's odd that you posted this topic this morning, Terrell, I had just been telling myself that I had to run every day( without rest days) in order to keep up. However, my legs are saying something else today! I guess I will listen and rest. ✋💙

Thank you so much, Jim! Just so you'll know, I received your email and was about to reply when I saw this comment 😃 I know the feeling, believe me. When you just want to get it done, get that last mile or two in, and you feel like you can look past a little pain here and there. My worst experience with a running injury was about 10-15 years ago, when I injured my Achilles tendon -- it was INCREDIBLY painful. I had to take a year off from running. But you know what? That was the only thing that could have helped -- just lots and lots of rest.

Thankfully, it sounds like the pain you're experiencing isn't quite that severe -- so a little rest should help for sure.

Good morning, Jodi! Yes, we'll definitely give everyone a window to complete their half. Maybe a few days or so? We'll shoot for everyone to run it the same day, but we can definitely work with your vaca. No worries! 😃

A timely article, thank you Terrell. I get up every morning early.do a ten minute meditation. Then I hit the pavement, now with a headlight on. I would do a 2-3 mile run, then a walk. I also do non aerobic exercises when I get home. My husband is up by the time I leave, when I walk through the door I hear your here. He keeps track of my whereabouts in case of an emergency. (It works both ways,). This week been sleeping in half hearted run and maybe a walk. I usually take Sunday & Friday as rest days’ longer run on Saturday. I guess my body is trying to telll me to slow down & rest. Body knows best. 😀

It does, doesn't it? I'd love to hear more about your meditation -- how long have you been doing it? I've been meaning to try for years, but have never felt like I knew how to start.
