Sorry folks … I got nothing and will resort to dad joke-speed humor: if a walking stick trains long enough, does it become a run club?

Now that's one I didn't even know existed! If I were younger. . .!

Amazing, though, I was thinking this morning that I was about my daughter's age (37 y/o) when I was running up the stairs at Palani Hills in India--384 stone steps! Now,it's all I can do to walk the vertical to the top where we now live. Age rolls on! I"m getting a new walking stick (bamboo) soon.

Running club just started a few weeks ago in Seattle put on by REI and Orca Running. I would have joined if we still lived in that area of Washington!

Any way to gift the FT article? Would love to read it but don't have a subscription. If not, no big deal. I suppose I get the gist.

Thanks so much, wasn't looking for anyone to violate copyright laws. It's a very FT piece as in focused on Manhattan and Brooklyn but the concept is good. Running clubs can be a great way to meet people, train (if you want) and find a community. I said to my wife (on a run actually) I wish I had friends in college who pushed me to get better. Well specifically I said it would've been great if like in the Netflix Doc Swamp Kings I had friends who had me doing 100 mile runs instead of 100 beer weekend. Now that's 54 year old me looking back at 21 year old me but you get the idea.
