Thanks so much for your reminder of the importance of staying connected, Terrell. Happy Thanksgiving! It sounds trite, but despite everything that has been going on in our world, we still have a whole lot to be thankful for.
Reading this list makes me ache for live races again and all the interesting places they are held. I want to do them all. I'm going to save this newsletter to re-read many times over the winter. Despite all the negatives of 2020, I have much to be thankful for. One thing is that we can see how much we as a global society can accomplish when we all work together, i.e. Covid vaccine. Another thing is the Half Marathoner community. Happy Thanksgiving everybody.
I hear you, Ruth. I’m trying very much to look ahead to the future right now, and that’s why I focused today on what I wrote— we need to keep our eyes on the prize 🥇
I have always wanted to run Big Sur, but for one reason or another never made it there. I hear it is beautiful and not one to run your fastest, but to enjoy the breathtaking views. So that’s what I have my eye on for next year. As an aside, I would also like to share just how much our Strava group has helped to motivate me to get out there and put forth more effort. I’m thankful for all of you. Happy happy Thanksgiving to all!
Thank you, Anne! And right back at ya! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Strava group — I am too, more even than I anticipated. It’s helping me tremendously with my motivation as well. 👍
Thanks @terrell! Good sentiments. I have run our (Cincinnati) Thanksgiving Day Race (10k) since I started running seriously in ‘15. I will miss it dearly this year. It is what began my life as “real” runner. I did my first half 3-1/2 months later then 2 fulls that same year. Since they aren’t holding the race tomorrow I plan to run my own 10k but I know it will not be the same. I am looking so much forward to this coming year as well! Have a blessed Thanksgiving however you are celebrating it. I know I have plenty to be thankful for in my life.
Thank you Ben! I hear you on running on our own vs. running the way we’re used to. I feel the same way! Know that we’re with you in spirit, my friend. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving too 👍
Good you reminded me of Red Rock. I had that in my sights from last year. It is right above my brother's house in Vegas. There may still be enough time to train if I keep up the pace.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃! I’ll be running a virtual 10k - Phoenix Turkey Trot. I’m looking forward to in person races once a vaccine is out in the market - very soon!
Thank you Terrell for keeping the running community together through this pandemic - Strava is working out great!
Looking forward to a long run tomorrow morning...and of course, live races in 2021. Praying that the Spokane Super Hero Race is up and running in March!

I couldn’t agree more, Brendan! You have a great Thanksgiving too 😀
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
Happy 🦃 day tomorrow!
Happy Thanksgiving! I'll be running 4 miles before I cook my turkey tomorrow!!
Love that, Tricia!! I’m going to try to run 4 tomorrow too 🦃
