Hi Terrell. Love your posts! This one struck me. I have been running for a long time; I have been a fast skinny runner, and slow chonky runner, and a muscle-y determined runner at some point over the last 40 years. At this point, I am whatever I feel like on any particular day, but ALWAYS running. I am grateful, above all else, to be able to move forward, putting one foot in front of the other. Gobble Gobble on my friend! And, I am in for a running challenge, in December.

Happy Thanksgiving and best of luck to all the turkey trotters tomorrow! I'm doing the 10k option for the over-achievers. Balmy 60 degrees here in eastern NC tomorrow morning; the cold front won't hit us until Friday, sadly.

And am I grateful you're here and take the time to think and write on a sport that is so obscure as running! I'm mostly a walker nowadays. I'd love to live somewhere that I could just bolt out the door and run. . . but that is not to be. . .at least during this segment of my life. Rowing challenge for 200,000 meters starts tomorrow and goes through the 24th of December. I'm signed up for that, so why not a challenge through the rest of the year???, even if I have to walk! Have a happy Thanksgiving with your family. Gosh only knows what we will pull off for dinner this year, but for sure I know we will have Yam Pie!

Cold today in Oregon and partly cloudy. Glad I had sense to stay home on the day that the Run to Stay Warm was held. It rained and was in the 40s.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the Community. Take Care! :)

Right back at you, Nilima! And I can relate to the walking -- it's awesome, I've been doing some of that myself lately. Very zen! :)

Walking Is very zen. You see a lot of things that you miss while running past them! Beautiful cold day here in Oregon. Perfect for being outside. The humming birds love it! :)

Love the thought that each day is a new day- for running as well as in life. I could really use a December Challange to keep me motivated. Happy running all.

I would like a December running challenge. December is always so busy with family and friend get together for the holidays.

Completely agree! It can be so hard to stay on track with all that goes on during the month. I'm strongly leaning toward doing it. Do you remember when we did it last time?

Thankful for you bringing a running community together..........so Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! I love runners and running.....tomorrow I am going to run our local Turkey Trot with my poodle Samson, who is always a hit.........I really would love a running challenge in December........I run with my run club Wed. 5PM and Saturday at 7AM.......also do a scheduled CrossFit class on Thursday at 7AM.......this seems like a good month to start setting some goals........as for some reason November really was a hit and miss.........also need to "loose" a little of the Thanksgiving pounds........before Christmas!!!! Besides who doesn't love a challenge in the snow!!! Hopefully we will have snow this year in NW WI!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!!
