Looking forward to traveling to Washington state to see my grandchildren (and their parents).

I love that, Kay. I know my own parents are keen to see my 6-year-old as soon as possible, and he to see them too. Hopefully that will be soon!

During quarantine, I'm mostly dreaming about food. I have enough food at home and I love to cook, but it's nice to go out and dine and have a meal made for you that you're otherwise not able to make, or have ingredients you don't usually buy. I've been craving tacos, deli sandwiches, and more.

I miss restaurants too! The most! Last night, we picked up takeout from the restaurant where my wife and I got engaged, and it brought a flood of memories back. Just sitting in the booth, waiting on the wine, then the appetizer, then the meal itself. It all feels like magic now, right?

Wow that must have brought so much memories! Dining out definitely feels like a distant memory.

I've missed several races already this spring that I normally do (racewalking), so I'm really wanting to do any 5k or 4 mile, plus train for a half. Can't wait!

After the quarantine ends, I have been dreaming of going out to dinner with my husband, going to thrift stores looking for treasures with my mom, & to TJMaxx alone to wander & look at stuff. We love to travel, so I dream of that too.

Four of my half marathons through Mainly Marathons were postponed in March so when things settle down, I’ll figure out which new ones I can sign up for since they allowed me to apply the fees to other upcoming races. Also I am still signed up for the Prefontaine Memorial 10k in Coos Bay Oregon. So far it’s taking place (fingers crossed) because I’m training hard to get a medal in that one. Right now I run a 53 minute 10k and the last few race winners in my age division have gotten about 45 minute times. Hoping 5 months will be enough time to drop my time by 8 minutes. Do you think that’s too much of a stretch?

Wow! Great, great question. That would be a great question for some of the running coaches I occasionally have in for our Sunday podcasts — let me put it to them and see what they say.
