I’m up for the 100 miles in July challenge! And I’m very interested in a fall meet-up! I have been tossing around the idea of training for a fall half and that could be great motivation. My last half was almost 5 years ago!! A reminder link to your half training plan would be great.
I’m so glad I joined the paid membership in May! I need a tribe! 🏃🏼♀️
Thanks for that suggestion! Not sure why I have never listened to a runner’s podcast before, but I found them on Spotify and have downloaded a few episodes. 👍
Heckya!! You're all invited to Baltimore for the Running Festival on October 14. It's a hoot! (Especially if you like hills and Halloween candy.) https://www.thebaltimoremarathon.com/
Hot and DRY here in WA--not sweltering like you folks have. Walked the Trail yesterday about 3PM. Couldn't believe how dry it was. . . the heat doesn't bother me. Supposed to be in the upper 80s this weekend with fire danger being the worst. Take care, don't push yourself! It isn't worth it!
Very, very true, Nilima! Today in Atlanta is much hazier than normal -- probably is some of the wildfire smoke wafting down here from further north. It isn't worth risking your health!
Take care. I thought there was a smoke haze this morning, but I guess it was just heat. The wildfires are causing a lot of havoc back east. I worry about you people.
Studying Oregon this morning. Looks like the Pacific Ocean brings in a lot of Fog. The excessive heat seems to be contained further south, but that doesn't rule out fires.
I remember one old man at my 21 table years ago. He was a boxer, but you couldn't tell it. Scrawny old dude. . He kept expounding, (I'm sure he was sorta drunk!) " Take care of your health. It's all you got!" Turns out he was right in so many ways! :)
Interested in a fall meet up. Most likely will be doing the Omaha run on Oct. Currently running every state and will complete Wyoming/Montana/Alaska in July if all goes as planned. Nebraska will be my last state.
GM Terrell -- I would be willing for a challenge -- Have been in therapy since May 10 for my fractured humerous and this last 8 days have followed the Jeff Galloway Run/Walk/Run (3.5 / 1.5) minute. Did my first 10K since my injury yesterday (01:13:05). Getting closer to being able to Run/Walk a half. Registered for the Bird-In-Hand, PA. half on Sept 9.
Based upon my PT's numbers I was 73% disability on May 10 and the figures he took last week I was 31% disability and I am able to do a lot of things I couldn't on May 10. So I still have a ways to go but I have made a significant improvement in the time I have been working with Ryan and team.

Awesome, Bobbi Jo!! I'm so glad you joined too! I'll send out the links to my half training plans in a follow-up email.
If you haven’t already you might want to check out Real Life Runners podcast. On all the sites and a lot of good information.

You know, I've looked that race up before and it looks fantastic! Do you run it every year?
I had a streak going before COVID but this will be my first year back because we were out of town last year. It’s super fun.
I’m up for the challenge but will need to get out extra early in the morning. the weather and heat index is out of sight this year in central Florida.
Same here! I saw a map today of Georgia for this weekend -- the heat indices will be over 100 for much of the state, and over 110 in some places 🥵

Awesome Ann! Maybe we can do a run together in Alaska if you are in the Anchorage area as I live here.
How awesome is that, Ann!
