Was in NC when PNC 10-miler took place. Wife fractured humerus in left arm didn’t stop us from seeing granddaughter perform in high school marching band festival competition … she’s 2nd generation color guard.

so sorry to hear of you wife. I broke my left wrist falling down in July. Its been no end of trouble, but I keep on going. Didn't stop my rowing one bit. . . I should be up to 2 million meters by the time the new year comes around! Congrats to your granddaughter I know how hard those festivals can be. . .my specialty was choir where I did alto solos!

Thanks, Diana! It has been. As much as I love doing this, you need a break sometimes, you know? To let your mind just sit fallow for a bit and be. This has been good for that πŸ˜€

How’ve you been? How’s the book coming?

Good here--and thanks for asking about the book. I had an agent interested, but SADLY she had just sold a book with a similar theme AND title--so there was a conflict. (Insert boo-hoo emojis.)

I've gotten several full manuscript requests--but so far....nothing. However, this does not sadden me as I figure that if I've gotten this far, a "goal" has been met. (In other words, I've done my bit.) And since I can't control the other stuff, I'm focusing on the wins!

Could you self-publish, or have I been watching too many TV movies?

This comment cracked me up. I read it last night and I've yet to stop giggling. I could--but I am an abysmal self-promoter. (I mean, the worst.) And also..I'd always thought if I couldn't land an agent and a "conventional deal" it might mean the work wasn't quite there.

So...once I get to "100 Rejections" (that's my goal. I love a goal--however ill-advised they might be :) I'm moving on. And I'm kinda okay with that....HOWEVER, who doesn't love a Hallmark ending???
