Happy Thanksgiving Terrell and thank you for sharing with us your beautiful pieces with such humbled, and reflective thoughts. I think it's not natural for men to realize these things you do... and I will say having a sister or daughter helps a lot :D
What a kind and thoughtful reflection. Part of the beauty of writing is seeing how the ideas spin off and inspire other talented people. What a wonderful thing. To share, be inspired, and be healthy enough to move.
Thanks so much, Edith! You know, it's funny you say that -- every woman I've ever spoken to who's had children has said something similar. I had that feeling when I was in the delivery room when little T was born, that this must be the most amazing thing in the world. Maybe in another life! 😆
We are the thankful ones. If you hadn’t started the newsletter we wouldn’t be here now! And the best part of the posts has nothing to do with running: it is about the humanity and bonding that comes from sharing a passion for moving in all its forms. Thank you.
Jerry, you are the best, my friend! You're so right -- there's a good chance I'd have given up running years ago without you and everyone else. It feels like a virtual group where we get to share all the things we would if we were running together in person. Really glad you're a part of it.
I, too look forward to THM emails. They are one of the bright spots in this retiree’s daily routine. They inspire me to get to the gym and to explore opportunities to travel to new locations not just to “get another shirt and another medal”, but also to visit and explore new cities. The exchanges among readers and contributors are always informative and brighten even the dullest of days.
Although I’m a recent newcomer to your substack, I am grateful for this community you have created through your writing. I look forward to each and every post, enjoying your musings as well as comments from readers. I always come away feeling better about my day. You make a difference in many people’s lives. Thank you!
Christine, you are so incredibly kind to say that -- you seriously made my day! And yes, the community here is what makes it so much fun. They make me come away feeling better about mine, too!
Your "one last thing" article speaks volumes about you Terrell. That is why I am a raving fan. Wish we were neighbors and could just "talk over the fence" every Sunday afternoon.
Thank you Terrell! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Keep moving. :) (and writing)
Right back at you, Julie! Hope your holiday is a wonderful one 🦃
It was a great day! Thank you, Terrell.

Right back at you, Blue! I'm really thankful you're here too 🙌

Cheers Terrell! Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks so much, Peter! Right back at you — and a wonderful holiday to you and yours 🦃
Thank YOU, Terrell! (Although personally I sometimes feel a little sorry for men because they don't GET to "have" kids 😆 )

I do too, Clark! One of these days we’re going to have to meet up at one of these races and just have a good hang.
