....you might consider being a clearing house for those with similar goals who can contact each other off line and virtually run together.

I'm willing to help in any way possible....BUT...here's the thing--I started following you when I was training for a 1/2 marathon--and then years of back issues caused me to be a runner wishing to run again but never quite making it happen. (Although I can do lots of miles--as in 20 something at a time--but not running--my back despises the pounding.) I continued following you because of the way you wove the important threads of life--of what it means to be human--into your posts--and because you are a FANTASTIC writer. What I don't know is what your "true running" audience is--or what the demographics are--in other words--are 90% of your subscribers still racing/training? Or....? Is there a survey you can do? Or do you already know? So I may not be a good representative sample. (In other words, my opinion may not matter!) But what I love is the connections you make between running/training/health and life--and the personal stories you share.

This is a great point, Diana! I honestly don't know -- maybe a survey is a better way to get this info. And thank you for all of this 🙏

I’m willing to to chat as well….although I’m no longer running 1/2 marathons, I’m still vested in this newsletter. As I’ve said before, the pounding on the roads is not friendly to me anymore so I transitioned to trails. With one successful 50K trail run under my belt, I’m hooked! I’ve signed up for. 30K and a 50K next year😜. I think a survey would be good to get flavor of where people are in their running whether they have slowed down, walk now, or bike. Activity is activity in my mind!

I would be willing to discuss the newsletter and running with you, although I still consider myself a newbie that has a lot to learn. And that is why I appreciate your newsletter.

I think it's a great idea and I would like to be involved. After almost 50 years of running, I believe everyone (newbie to long time runner) has something to contribute - either from trial and error, coaches, or running friends. Also, one shoe does not fit everyone - what works for me may not work for someone else, but with interchange we can listen to others and evaluate to see if it works for us.
