Good afternoon/evening, friends!

It’s nighttime here in Georgia where I live, so I’m a little late in getting this out to you this week. I hope your year is starting to wind down from its busy-ness, and you’re able to start getting some well-deserved rest and relaxation as we start to make our initial descent into the holidays.

This will probably be the last list of races I’ll send out for the next couple of weeks, as I take a little time to rest myself, and do some thinking, brainstorming and dreaming on next year and the future of the newsletter.

I hope you have an amazing, restful and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family, friends and loved ones — and I’ll see you again soon after that!

Your friend,

— Terrell

🏃 To run

🏜️ Red Mountain Half Marathon. You’ll run through some of the most stunning desert landscapes in the world at this race, which unfolds through the Santa Clara River Reserve in southwestern Utah, a place filled with rocky, red-colored sandstone spires and crags. From the start near Gate’s Lane Bridge in front of the historic Jacob Hamblin home, the race then heads onto U.S. Bureau of Land Management service roads and single-track trails; organizers say that thanks to the early March date, you need to be prepared for “any kind of weather.” Set for March 2, 2024.

🇬🇧 Bath Half Marathon. A gorgeous, big-city run through the British city of Bath, named for its famed Roman-built baths (and perhaps even more famous today as the filming location for Netflix’s Bridgerton). You’ll start and finish the race within blocks of the Royal Crescent, a row of 30 terraced townhome-style homes laid out in a crescent shape, and from there run past Royal Victoria Park, and later along Lower Bristol Road to the Churchill Bridge and Queen Square. A must, must-run in a place you’ll remember forever. Set for March 17, 2024.
