I had an application in to a position that opened up at the local college. They invited me for a preliminary half-hour zoom interview Tuesday afternoon. It went well, I thought. They were done with their questions halfway through, and I filled the rest of the time with pertinent questions and the tangents that ensued. They said I’d hear back by Friday if I’d be moving on to the next stage.

Well, they must have thought it went well too, because on Wednesday evening they invited me on campus this coming Monday for a 3-hour tour (a 3-hour tour) to meet other stakeholders in the campus community and have lunch.

I’m crossing all my fingers! Good vibes welcome!

I'm deep into training for the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics in Mid-Sept thru early October.

Planning on 5 events: 60m, 200m, 400m and 5K, and a 2K rowing event (85-89 age group) Did all the runs last year and had a ball. This will be a first with the rowing. Have plans for a 5K and 10 miler in Oct and a 10 miler in dec. with all the heat, humidity and smoke from the Canadian and Minnesota fires, most of my training is on the "dreadmill". looking forward to cooler weather!

I am SUPER-EXCITED in a way I haven't been in a longggggg time to launch, "Timeless By Design"--I'm still working on it...(the About page is up) still figuring out complete vision for content, but I'm finishing my first "Spotlight" interview and HAVING A BLAST. (So much more fun than querying agents and suffering through endless rejections.) Eventually, I'm gonna hit you up for an interview. 😁

Mid-October I’ll be lining up for my 39th marathon in Chicago.

My first marathon in 2008 was in Chicago and I figured it would be fun to go back and see the course from my current seventeen years later.
