Evening, friends! 🌙
I just wanted to let you know I’m going to take some time off from writing to you, so I won’t be in your inbox for a couple of weeks.
Everyone needs a fall break right around this time of year, right? This’ll give me a chance to recharge my batteries and come back fresh.
It’ll also give me a chance to finally finish some of the big books I have on my nightstand, like Steinbeck’s East of Eden, which I just started and only now am starting to realize what a journey I’m in for.
Reading, I find, inspires my writing — just seeing what other writers can do makes me wonder, could I do something like that too? It’s essential for me as a way to fill my tank, so to speak, so I plan to do some big, deep dives into new writers while I’m away.
I hope you’ve been having an amazing fall and getting some great runs in — and, by the way, if you ran New York City this past weekend I’d love to hear about that too!
Keep in touch and, as always, keep me posted on how your running/life is going.
Your friend,
— Terrell

Enjoy your break, Terrell! Glad to hear you’re taking some time and space to read and replenish.
I ran NYC — gorgeous day, crowds even more electric than usual. My favorite spectator sign: “AI COULD NEVER.” It was a game-time decision for me after rehabbing post tib tendinitis all summer. I just returned to training a month ago and knew I’d have to run/walk it, but ultimately I’m so glad I did!
