YES! This -- it would be perfect to meet up in NYC for the big United NYRR Half, though that race is hard to get into sometimes. I will noodle on this... 🤔
Wow Terrell. Nine years in the digital world is no small feat. Quality of presentation, ideas, conversation and authenticity keep me coming back. Looking forward to every Terrell inspired contact no matter what’s on your mind. All is grist for the mill and you keep producing wholesome, healthy, multi grain bread we can all chew on and easily digest. KUDOS my friend♥️👣♥️
Funny thing happened. Wirecutter told me how to empty my inbox on Monday--so I did--everything--including all my old newsletters. Then I wondered for 3 days where the Half Marathoner had gone as it usually shows up on Monday. Nope! It did not! I had a famine from newsletters for 3 days--no mail. Finally one showed up, then a few more and then yours came in today. Thank Goodness, I didn't unsubscribe by mistake! Whew!!
Thought I'd better let you know the weather is getting better and better in Eugene. . .in the 70s this week. The flowers are blooming and from the pictures around Eugene, it looks like a beautiful run at the end of April.
Congrats on staying alive all these years. It must be a fun yet arduous process to produce a newsletter for as long as you have. Writing must be in your blood! Take care! :)
I'm so sorry I missed sending this past Sunday, Nilima! It was my son's spring break from school, and so we were away for a few days -- I should've given you the heads up :) Can't wait for Eugene!
Thank you, Terrell. I’m still new to the Half Marathoner community but your writing has been inspirational to me as a writer and a runner. Keep up the great work! I’m excited for what the next 9 years have in store for you 👍🏼
Congratulations, Terrell! What an enormous accomplishment. 🎉 I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I’m so thankful this *isn’t* a typical, cookie-cutter running newsletter…we’re all the better for it!
I've followed you for a long time. I have to admit I miss the old half marathon listings. I enjoyed how you grouped them and I saved so many each year. What about doing both? Maybe a blog like you do now, but also a separate one for those of us who miss the old days. :)
Congratulations, Terrell. I discovered The Half Marathoner only after I joined Substack myself (so fairly recently), so I don’t know you and your writing as well as most folks who’ve been here awhile. But I’m enjoying the calm and thoughtful tone of your newsletters, whether the topic is running or not. Here’s to many more!
I'm envisioning a Big 10 year anniversary, in-person meet up race.....🤗

Sounds fun! Maybe Half Marathoners could register as a block?

No problem, Terrell! I had to laugh at myself thinking I had once again made some sort of technological error! ;)

This is fantastic to hear, Jake -- and it's what keeps me going/why I do this. This really means so much to me to hear.
Nine years and growing stronger. Keep up the good work... you're one person keeping me pounding the pavement.
