I really, really enjoyed this one! It's easy to lose perspective and her book (and this email) is a good reminder to focus on the things we can be grateful for.
I especially like the comment that the coach was more interested in the commitment of the runner than the race results. I also like to think that "I get to do this!!" I know many people who barely get out and walk, much less ru. 4 or 5 miles on an average day. I love looking about during the run and noticing the trees, flowers, , hills, clouds, sunbeams etc....such a blessing! And it's above 30 degrees!!!!
Great article that is directed to runners, but applicable to anyone who wants to achieve their potential in life.
Thanks so much, Rebecca!
Thank you for another great newsletter, Terrell! I read this book when it first came out....I just pulled it off my shelf to read again!
Thank you, Stephanie! I pull it off the shelf every couple of months, I'd bet. Especially lately!
I loved her book! Probably something I should read again!
